Let's start at today and I will go back to pick up the pieces that have caused
melting moments and hopefully piece them all together. I am absolutely a person who has big plans but doesn't always see them through to the very end.
I know many of my Mum's melting moments occurred when I decided to clean my bedroom up and would pull out every drawer, cupboard and contents of my wardrobe to ensure I did a complete sort and tidy. However before the end of the project I got bored and the end result was often worse than the initial condition of my room.
That has sort of followed me right through to now.....I am sitting in my Study which certainly needs some sort of order put to it - but where do I start. This is one of my
'melt-downs'.
The weird this is, I am a pretty structured and logical person but not that great at sorting clutter. Now my husband, that is another matter. He abhors clutter and carefully throws things away that I have pondered over, when I am not looking. I have gone through stages where I have been found going through the rubbish bin trying to find those items I might need in the future...
Well I am on holidays for two weeks and I have some big plans...clutter is going and structure is about to hit my study. But when does something become unneeded? At what stage does that handmade wooden chopping board your daughter made in Grade 8 Woodwork class mean nothing to you any longer? That is a cross between a
Melting Moment and
Meltdown.
Everything gets put into perspective at that moment in time when you hold that item in your hand and try to determine if it is to be binned or bound for the cupboard again.....
